The Moon
revolves around the 3rd planet from the Sun
(Earth) and really isn't a planet, but a
satellite or luminary. About 1/4 the size of
Earth, the Moon is her single satelllite. The
moon has a lunar phase and at the new or full
moon, may be eclipsed. Lunar eclipses may
trigger events when powerful in an individuals
chart.
Astrologers refer to the Sun
and Moon as "The Lights" and assign
the Moon as part of the life force of the
individual.
The Moon in a
chart is a major indicator of how the person
processes emotions. It is also used to tell how
the person felt about their mother (or most
nurturing parent). The Moon rules the
subconscious in a chart and is often used to
indicate past life/karmic relationships
