Saturn, the
5th planet out from the Sun is about 95 times larger than the earth. Saturn
currently has 28 known satellites and a
spectacular ring
system. Saturn takes about 29 years to go around
the sun.
Called the
Greater Maleficent, any decent Astrologer will
shudder a bit when aspects to Saturn approach.
Saturn teaches us humility, hard work, rigid
unbending structure. Aspects to this often bring
hard times and difficult financial periods.
Saturn periods
often coincide with our most difficult
developmental periods. The first at 7, then
about 14 (adolescence), then about 21 (sowing
wild oats), then about 28 (Saturn's first return
and true adulthood), 35, 42, etc. With 42 being
the most difficult as we bring Uranus aspects in
there as well. While our society terms the early
40's as "The Middle Age Crazies",
Astrologers would simply attribute it to the
aspects in their charts.
